Liverpool talismanic forward says he maintains a very high expectation of himself after his excellent performance against Bournemouth today.
The 26-year-old scored thrice as Liverpool went top of the League table with a 4-0 victory at the Vitality stadium.
The Egyptian had come in for some criticism at the start of the season when he wasn’t getting the goals. But with ten goals this season, he is looking like the player we tore the league apart last season.
Speaking to SkySports after the win, the former Roma man spoke about the standards expected of him.
“It’s not a bad way at all [to get back amongst the goals]. Top of the table and scored three goals today, clean sheet. That’s everything I can say today.
“My expectation is very high. But I know everyone else’s expectation for me is very high. As I said before, the most important thing, we are top of the table and we win each game.
The striker rounded Asmir Begovic after beating Steve Cook to score his third goal, he picked that as his best of the bunch.
“The last one. I could say the last one was good. I was calm.”
