Arsenal manager Unai Emery has said the club can only sign players on loan in the January transfer window.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez with Emery keen on his countryman.
Unai Emery’s side signed five players in the summer. Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Sokratis and Bernd Leno all came for a combined £70m with Stephan Lichtsteiner joining for free.
The former PSG coach is however keen to strengthen his team as he hopes the club help get his targets.
“We cannot make payments to sign players,” Emery said in a press conference. “We can only loan players.
“I don’t know about his [Suarez] situation. But we can only sign players on loan.
“I know the club is working to find players who can help us, with this condition. I know these players and they are very good players. But I cannot sign more.”
